01 Objective
The objective was to provide a seamless, secure, and localized payment solution tailored to the unique needs of the Cameroonian market who are interested in managing their streaming subscriptions.
02 Project Goals
- Localized Payment Solutions: Facilitate the use of MTN and Orange Mobile Money as alternative payment methods for international streaming services that require credit card transactions.
- User-Centric Interface: Develop an intuitive and user-friendly interface to enhance the overall user experience.
- Security Measures: Implement security measures to safeguard transactions carried out via the RapidPay Mobile platform.
- Transaction Management: Establish a system to effectively oversee and monitor all transactions completed within the mobile application.
- Streamlined Login Access: Centralize the management of streaming service accounts linked through RapidPay.
- Subscription Management: Simplify the subscription management process for users with varying levels of technological proficiency.
APPROACH
Research and Discovery
To lay the groundwork for a successful project, we engaged in thorough research:
- User Interviews: Conducted interviews with potential users to gain insights into their streaming service choices, payment preferences, and challenges encountered during online transactions.
- Field Research: Observed mobile money usage patterns in Cameroon to identify key user behaviour.
- Data Analysis: Compiled and analyzed the collected data to identify trends, common issues, and potential areas for improvement in user experience.
Design
- Wireframing and Prototyping: We started with wireframes to outline the user journey, emphasizing simplicity and accessibility. Key features included:
- Easy Registration: A streamlined onboarding process for new users.
- Service Selection: Clear options for selecting from a range of international streaming services.
- Payment Integration: Simplified steps to link and make payment with MTN and Orange Mobile Money accounts.
- Subscription Management: A dashboard for users to manage their subscriptions and payments.
- Visual Identity DesignÂ
- User Interface Design: We crafted an aesthetically pleasing and functional interface, focusing on:
- Localization : Tailoring the app to the cultural and linguistic preferences of Cameroonian users.
- Consistency: Maintaining visual consistency with both the mobile money services and streaming platforms.
Admin Dashboard
Design
- Accessibility: Designing for a broad user base, ensuring the app is usable by people with varying levels of digital literacy.
- Navigation: Ensuring easy and intuitive navigation throughout the app.
- Payment Process’ Streamlining the steps required to link mobile money accounts and complete payments.
- Error Handling: Implementing clear and user-friendly error messages to guide users through any issues.
